Mazda Motor Corporation’s production and sales results for March 2010 and for Fiscal Year (FY) 2009 are summarized below.

1. Domestic Production
(1) March 2010
Mazda’s total domestic production volume in March 2010 increased for the fourth consecutive month, growing 102.6% compared to March 2009 due to increased production of passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda3 (Axela):	33,962 units	(up 57.2% year-on-year)
Mazda2 (Demio):	15,825 units	(up 77.7% year-on-year)

(2) FY2009
Mazda’s domestic production volume of passenger and commercial vehicles in FY2009 decreased 8.0% compared to the same period in FY2008.

Mazda2 (Demio):	162,347 units	(down 9.1% year-on-year)

2. Overseas Production
(1) March 2010
Posting a year-on-year increase for the tenth consecutive month, Mazda’s overseas production volume in March 2010 improved 133.1% on March 2009, reflecting healthy production of passenger and commercial vehicles.

(2) FY2009
Mazda’s total overseas production volume in FY2009 increased 34.5% compared to the same period in FY2008 due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

Mazda’s total domestic sales volume in March 2010 increased for the sixth consecutive month, growing 32.8% compared to March 2009 due to healthy sales of passenger vehicles.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.5% (up 0.2 points year-on-year), with a 3.0% share of the micro-mini segment (up 0.1 points year-on-year) and a 4.7% total market share (up 0.4 points year-on-year).

Mazda3 (Axela):	3,711 units	(up 106.3% year-on-year)

(2) FY2009
Mazda’s total domestic sales volume in FY2009 increased 1.0% compared to the same period in FY2008 due to increased sales of passenger vehicles.
Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 5.4% (down 0.3 points year-on-year), with a 2.9% share of the micro-mini segment (down 0.1 points year-on-year) and a 4.5% total market share (down 0.1 points year-on-year).
